I was born in 1961 and grew up on a farm in Marthalen (Switzerland). When I had finished school, I became a plumber and after ten years changed into sales, which is still my profession today. In 1991, by curiosity, I bought dye stuff and paper. Apart from several classes in drawing and painting, I am mainly a self-taught person. My first important appearance in public took place in 1993 during the auction "Schärme" in Schaffhausen, which was followed by other expositions.

I am dedicated to expressionist art. My paintings in acrylic reflect strong ties with nature and a sharp eye. It is not my intention just to depict a special little flower or a vegetable, but I try to represent my motives in a changing scene of light and shadow. I love landscapes and still lives. I would like to reproduce in my own way whatever I see, transforming my impression with a lot of verve and enthusiasm into a painting, giving it thus a new interpretation. I use acrylic paint on paper and canvas. My paintings invite you for a walk through nature in all its beauty.
